In association with the OECD Women’s Network, I am proud to produce this private film screening on the OECD campus with an expert medical panel. I am happy to welcome the International Menopause Society to join us for this conversation.
The M Factor: Shredding the Silence on Menopause is an American film released in 2024—the first documentary to explore the hidden impact of menopause on women's lives.
With evidence-based information, the film empowers women to make informed health decisions and aims to remove the stigma surrounding menopause and aging.
But it’s not without controversy.
With the help of the International Menopause Society Board Member, Professor Antonio Cano, as well as the CEO, Rebecca Cheshire, and practicing Paris-based physicians, Dr Andrés Ramirez Zamudio, Dr Jennifer Heinegg, we will have a critical discussion moderated by Menopause Policy Advocate Christine Siler, about the current state of menopause care, the claims and potential misinformation in the film, and how to make informed health care choices in an evolving and unsteady global health care situation.
This event is designed to inform, validate, and support women as they transition through this universal life stage.
